Persona 5 – PC

Persona 5 PC

The game was first mentioned to be under development in August 2011 in an interview between Katsura Hashino, the producer of the Persona series and Famitsu, the Japanese game magazine with the greatest circulation, although he did called “the next numbered title.” Hashino confirmed that the basic preparations for the development finished and announced the return of Shigenori Soejima and Shoji Meguro as character designer and music composer, respectively. Both Meguro Soejima and worked together with Hashino on Persona 3, Persona 4 and Catherine.

Unlike Catherine, who used the Gamebryo engine, Persona 5 will be made with a new engine. Before it was decided that the game would be released exclusively for the PlayStation 3, it was also discussed internally to move the series with games on mobile devices like the PlayStation Vita or smartphones. Finally, Hashino and his team chose the PlayStation 3, as they felt that fans would like to see another game for home consoles.

The story of Persona 5 will discuss the challenges of contemporary society and feature characters who are retained by the rules established by this company. As a result, players will face trials and chains they have to overcome. Like previous installments of the series, the game is set in a high school – however, the mood and the tone will be different. Hashino says that Persona 5 is a kind of freedom that is different from other games in the series. This freedom is for releasing those “bored and discontent with their lives.” Despite this, Atlus expects and wants the players of Persona 3 and Persona 4 to feel at home with this game. Persona 5 is supposed to be an emotional experience that awakens the audience and lets go with a strong message of catharsis after all is said and finally did.

Persona 5 was officially revealed November 24, 2013 after a 72-hour countdown that eventually resulted in a series of announcements which included Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth and Persona 4: Dancing all night. A domain website Persona 5 has already been registered on 25 June, 2013 by Index Corporation, the former parent company of Atlus. A US release was confirmed on 25 February 2014 with an estimated output originally in 2015. A PlayStation version 4 of the game was announced September 1, 2014 during the Tokyo Game Show Sony’s conference with a . new trailer that gave a first glimpse of the setting and the game’s protagonist Blu-Ray bonus containing a variety of content related Persona 5 was released as pre-order bonus for the Japanese version of Persona 4: Dancing all night, June 25, 2015, which also included the second trailer for the game.

The September 17, 2015 a third trailer for Persona 5 was shown in the Tokyo Game Show 2015, the distribution of the company revealed that the release date would be postponed until summer 2016. According Katsura Hashino, this decision was taken so that the game could become the greatest of all the games he has made so far.
